This is an editorial piece that is based on Elisabeth Tova Bailey's novel "The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating" which explores the author's thoughts during a time in which she was ill with an aggressive virus. She befriends a snail and compares her situation to the snail's who in its own way is trapped in a terrarium. I wanted to create a feeling of mystery, deep emotion, and surrealism in my drawing through the use of scale and color.
